Mammography Technologist Diploma Program
Program Overview
The Mammography Technologist Program at Stellar Career College prepares registered radiographers to advance their careers as certified mammographers. This program combines essential didactic coursework with hands-on clinical training to build foundational knowledge and technical skills for entry-level mammography practice. Students will receive instruction in anatomy, mammography positioning, instrumentation, imaging principles, and quality assurance. Upon successful completion, graduates earn a Certificate of Completion and become eligible to take the ARRT Mammography Examination.
Program Objectives
The Mammography Technologist Program at Stellar Career College equips students with the knowledge, technical skills, and clinical experience needed to become certified mammographers. The program emphasizes safe imaging practices, effective communication, and technical proficiency in mammography procedures. Students will be prepared to operate imaging equipment, perform patient positioning, and evaluate image quality in a clinical setting.
- Apply radiation safety protocols and comply with government regulations to protect patients and staff.
- Interpret imaging procedure orders and position patients for optimal diagnostic views.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment and evaluate image quality for diagnostic purposes.
- Demonstrate effective communication and professional development within a healthcare environment.

- Applicants must hold a valid Radiology/X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine, or Radiation Therapy license to enroll in this program
