As a sterile processing technician, you are responsible for sterilizing instrumentation and equipment through a series of critical steps. You will have a strong understanding of microbiology, infection control, principles, and practices of sterile processing and decontamination procedures. The principles of sterile technique help control and prevent infection, prevent the transmission of all microorganisms in a given area and maintain sterility.
