More About the Course

The course consists of eight (8) quarters, each lasting twelve (12) weeks. Students take both ESL and vocational courses in every quarter, allowing them to strengthen language skills while studying subjects such as medical terminology, anatomy, ethical reasoning, and patient care.

Consequently, graduates leave with both language proficiency and the professional knowledge required to succeed in a healthcare or workforce environment. An ESL course includes, but is not limited to, classroom instruction and other class activities, i.e., guided debates, class presentations, group dynamics, field trips, mock interviews, and resume and cover-letter writing.

These classroom activities are instructor-led and aim to build reading comprehension, oral communication, and writing skills in a career-oriented vocational environment. The vocational courses are integrated into the ESL course. Students take both ESL and vocational courses in each quarter.

On the other hand, Healthcare foundation vocational courses include, but are not limited to, studying: medical terminology, anatomy and physiology of human body systems, knowledge and skills in ethical theory and reasoning, inter-professional approach to healthcare decision-making, and basic and applied patient care.
