Program Overview
The Cyber Security Professional program is a 12-month comprehensive training course, available in both full-time and part-time formats, designed for entry-level students and working adults who want to build a strong foundation in cybersecurity.
Students learn to secure networks and computers by evaluating protocols, operating systems, hardware components, networking devices, and software tools. The training focuses on building secure infrastructures while preparing students for several CompTIA certification examinations, with practical, hands-on experience that strengthens problem-solving and analytical skills.
As a result, graduates become confident professionals ready to contribute effectively to the fast-growing cybersecurity industry.
Program Learning Outcomes
At the end of the program, graduates will be able to:
- Contribute proactively to the evolving dimensions of IT related to cybersecurity
- Use labs and hands-on activities alongside industry-based certification materials throughout the curriculum
- Conduct the seven main categories of cyber operations defined by the National Cybersecurity Workforce Framework
- Identify security vulnerabilities, threats, and attacks, and apply the right tools to mitigate risk
- Provide valuable input for cybersecurity operational plans across individuals, corporations, government, and community
- Communicate cyber threats and technical remediation strategies effectively, in both written and verbal form
